Slough, home to our Aspire development, is a thriving British city full of parks, green spaces and play areas — 254+ hectares, according to the city's council. Just 35 kilometres away from London, Slough has three parks rewarded by The Green Flag Award, which is the national benchmark standard for publicly accessible parks and green spaces in the United Kingdom. Salt Hill Park, Herschel Park and Pippins Park are all well-maintained and offer that much-needed nature landscape within Slough. The borough also has 76 outdoor playgrounds and play areas, which are ideal for families and a lively Slough Summer season.

Back in 2017, Slough's Council released some very interesting trail guides for those who love nature and wish to properly explore the most famous Slough park. Whenever you visit Herschel Park, you can have access to detailed information regarding history, plants, animals and known routes throughout the area. There is also a specific guide for children, which guarantees a fun outing for the little ones.

Residents can join the Our Parks Friends Groups and Associations to actively contribute to the development and upkeep of Slough parks. The council also has a Parks Volunteer Scheme, with activities such as planting and maintaining flower beds, pruning and ponds maintenance.
